Care the Carer

The  CARE THE CARER (CTC) project is an Erasmus+ KA210-ADU initiative focused on supporting family members, friends, and caregivers of people with mental health conditions. The project aims to empower caregivers, reduce stigma, and create a more inclusive society by providing resources, awareness campaigns, and educational materials.

💡  Key Objectives:

1️⃣  Support Caregivers' Well-being

  • Provide caregivers with  techniques and methods to take care of their own mental and emotional health.
  • Encourage a  healthy family atmosphere and  balanced lifestyle for those assisting individuals with mental health conditions.

2️⃣  Give a Voice to People with Mental Health Challenges

  • Amplify the voices of individuals with lived experience, allowing them to  share their strengths and challenges .
  • Inspire others facing similar obstacles through  case studies, campaigns, and personal stories .

3️⃣  Provide Emotional Management Tools

  • Equip caregivers and individuals with  practical tools for self-awareness and emotional regulation.
  • Help manage stress, anxiety, and burnout through  educational materials and best practices .

4️⃣  Raise Awareness & Combat Stigma

  • Increase understanding of the  impact of mental health stigma in education, employment, healthcare, and law enforcement.
  • Promote  positive narratives about mental health through awareness campaigns, infographics, and training resources.

5️⃣  Break Down Barriers to Social Inclusion

  • Challenge  public, self, and institutional stigma surrounding mental health.
  • Foster  social inclusion and acceptance , encouraging open discussions about mental well-being.

The  CARE THE CARER project works across  Sweden, Spain, and Greece , bringing together a strong network of organizations to  empower caregivers, advocate for policy changes, and provide sustainable mental health resources .
